Project Day 6-15-14

House Capuchin Shield2We have a bunch of projects to finish this week! Several people are going to be working on inkle looms and some of us rose petal sachet 06124are going to be working on the rose sachets and the block-printed bead pouches, trying to get those finished for Investiture

We’re hoping to sit still long enough to play some music and some games, as well, and maybe block print a few more pieces of fabric.

A couple of us got to the Couer de Val fight practice on Tuesday and worked on the pouches and sachets, then, too.

Next week (6/22) is going to be “the usual” up until 4pm, then we have our monthly potluck feast, which should feature darioles or some other sausage dish, plus a hot shrimp dish and who knows what all else! We’re doing a feast in honor of the Investiture of Diego and Taraneh, because a number of us can’t make it to the actual event.

pouch 1The following week there’s been a request for some basic leatherworking skills, so Anja’s going to do her Ithra class on that, which will start at 1pm. You’ll have to challenge on your own for credit, because we don’t have time to set up a session. There’s a materials cost for items that you wish to take home, plus a $4 cost for the materials used up in the class. (If you can’t afford it, talk to Anja about trading work….)
